We all know that a good night’s sleep is a must for good health, but how many of us truly sleep soundly night after night? Getting the suggested 7-8 hours of sleep every night is a luxury most of us don’t enjoy. In fact, according to studies by the National Sleep Foundation and other organizations, 1 in 3 adults don’t get enough sleep. So what’s a sleep-deprived person to do?
Aside from trying to keep stress at a minimum, eating well and exercising regularly (easier said than done), I’ve relied on sleep masks. And I’m constantly trying new ones. From $40 silk eye masks to aromatherapy eye pillows to copper-infused eye shades, I am always looking for the perfect eye mask.
Well… I think I might have finally found it!
Unlike other eye masks with straps that wear out over time and can get caught in hair, the Nod Pod is strapless, which was a big bonus in my book. But it made me wonder, how will it stay in place?
Nod Pod is really easy to adjust and secure since you just slip one side into the other through the slit at the back. I’ve tried so many masks with Velcro straps, buttons, tie-knots or just elastic, but they never stay on properly or it ends up catching on my hair. This thing did none of that.
There are two sides to the Nod Pod: The photo above shows the soft, plush side that is meant to keep you warm and cozy on those cold nights.
Above is the fleece side, which will keep you cool on warm nights. I used this side when I first tried the Nod Pod. I love how soft and comfortable it feels, like my favorite jersey-cotton shirt.
After my first night of using the Nod Pod, I can honestly say that it was a peaceful night’s sleep! I feel like I slept more deeply and my eyes felt like they had been gently massaged.
I’m so excited to add this as part of my nightly routine and carry-on whenever I travel. If you’re looking for a sleep mask that actually works, give this a try.
For $25, it’s totally worth it. Get your own Nod Pod weighted eye mask on Amazon!
